Tulips are my favourite kind of flowers. Roses come a close second.
I like tulips the best because of it's shape. It's clean-cut, curt (if I can even use this to describe it) and cute. It's mostly petite. It doesn't open fully even if it's in full bloom, unlike other flowers like roses and sunflowers, who open up and stretch their petals out. A tulips closes in. And I can relate to this, strange as it all is. I think I'm a private person. Even though I might not seem like it.
Another reason why tulips emerge as my favourite over roses is also because roses are cliché. Roses are largely related to events involved with romance - do you not see roses on Valentine's Day instead of other sorts of flowers? I'm not sure how it all started, this tradition of having roses as a key relation to romance. But because of this, roses are extremely popular, and I am (almost always) against anything unduly mainstream. Thus, tulips are my favourite.
