I can't remember when the last time I listened to songs with earphones was.
So much so that, I've forgotten how clear it sounds, and I'm relishing it now.
Every drumbeat, every riff of the guitar, every new pitch the vocalist reaches.
I love the new earphones haha. It's litchee white (a litchee is, according to the dictionary, a 'Chinese fruit having a thin brittle shell enclosing a sweet jellylike pulp and a single seed; often dried'), and extremely beautiful. AND now I want more earphones, because I want them in a whole collection of colours! Haha.
I like having things in a whole array of colour. (Which is probably why I bought seven erasers of different colours at Tokyu Hands...)
I'm trying to survive on $24 for the rest of the month. Not because I have no money, but because I am trying to save money.

(She's talking about a lesson in the textbook. The old man helped a boy to fix his shoes extra well and didn't ask for money when the boy realised he didn't have enough. The woman was forced into bankruptcy despite being a university graduate, and begged for rice at the author's house, showing gratitude to the author. Three years later, the author saw her again, begging for money without any dignity at all.)
