It was a rather sad day for me today.
Yet again I've savoured how unfair this world can be.
I didn't get into shooting. Neither did Jayda, Charell and Xiao Chen.
Isn't it weird? I was so sure I could get in. My stats and shooting said I passed. I can go in. & during the interview, I told them I'll be very very committed.
But I still didn't get in.
What makes it unfair, is that I didn't get in because of my register number.
The teacher-in-charge of shooting came to our class and asked these people to go out:
Sweden, Yeow Yong
Christine, Jeslyn, Sok San and Ka Min.
Well it was nearly recess when they were called out so she talked to them first. When we were released for recess, I went out. I heard the teacher say they got in.
I was really sad; so was Jayda, and I'm sure Xiao Chen and Charell were too. We were so desperate!
Jayda was the saddest I think. She was told that she would surely get in, because her stats were excellent. She was really looking forward to it... But she still didn't get in.
We asked the teacher why didn't we get in, why?
The teacher said we all qualified. It's just that only four girls can be picked from our class. And she just anyhow chose; she chose those whose register came first...
I didn't tell the teacher how sad I was, and I felt like crying but I couldn't cry either.
We kind of begged the teacher to let us in if there were any vacancies. She asked for our names, and took it down.
Xian Yun came out and I told her I didn't make it. I said I was very sad. She gave me a hug. Thanks(:
After the teacher went, I went back in class to complain.
Maybe it's because I didn't make it; that's why I complained about how Jeslyn and Christine shouldn't have got in. Sok San deserves it completely; for she's an excellent pistol shooter.
Afterwards someone told me Christine shot very well. Then I said, "But her stats were not so good, how can she get in?! My stats, and Charell and Jayda's and perhaps Xiao Chen's were much better than hers! I don't mean to criticize her but it's true!"
Charell told me about the register number thingy and I got pissed. It was just so unfair!
There's one vacancy; because Ka Min is going to Chinese Orchestra.
But I think that single will go to Charell, or Jayda.
Firstly; They are better than me.
Secondly; Jayda's register number comes before mine.
The chances of me getting in are rather low I think... But I will hold on to that last glimmer of hope. (:
