Yes, yes, I know that it is very lazy of me not to blog even though I'm back for Japan for very long already. Can I don't write anything about Japan? It really rocks so I don't want anyone to go, and shop like hell so when I go there the next time I have nothing to buy(yeah, very boh liao and very selfish.). SO anyways, there's this machine game called osharemajo, which simply rocks cos the game is so fun and simple, and the clothes are even nicer than human clothes. I hope the game comes to Singapore real soon. Y'know, Singapore charge neoprints around $6 - $Ten(my keyboard can't type the number 'one'. What the hell is wrong with it?) right? The $6 are the more old ones, the eight dollar are the average and nice ones, and the ten dollar is the very nice one right? Japan's neoprints are all very nice, and, summore, they are only $6(exclaimation mark) SIngapore where got so nice one? All are almost $8 lah. I miss Japan a lot and I wanna go back during the June holidays but unfortunately, I am P6 this year which means I have to go for supplementary lessons. WHat's more, I've got a witch for a teacher. So what if I say that? This is a blog, a blog is an internet diary/journal. A diary/journal is where you write your own thoughts. This teacher, Ms. Alice*, has even agreed that she is very fierce, and she is a witch and that too bad, we're stuck with her for eight, whole, fucking months(yeah, I said the f-word cos I'm really angry). I miss Hope 5 and I wanna re-live 2005. Despite my lan results, me of not doing PSPs, I want Hope 5 again. I wanna change my grades, so, I can go a class where there isn't *Ms. Alice. OF course, not only my teacher is fierce. I know that some other classes, the teachers are also very fierce. It's weird that, like, for example, the P6 of 2005, most of the classes got nice teachers or averagely-ok teachers. But the P6 of 2006, all got very fierce teachers. So, will the P6 of 2007, get nice teachers? I think so. And, yeah, Madam Wu was appointed vice-principal. It's not really any of my businness, since if she's the vice-principal, I guess she isn't teaching any classes anymore right? We already had homework on the first day of school. I know that it's okay for P6's to have homework on the first day of school. What I'm not really happy about is that ---- WHY THE HELL DO THEY GIVE SOOOOOO MUCH????????? It's perfectly OK to get homework on the first day of school, it's really okay. The quality of work is very important, yes. But what's important on the quantity also affects the quality. Okay, let's see, now. Very little homework: The student will most likely do well since they have very little, they don't have to rush it through with their hectic schedule of tuitions, CCA(s), remedia, supplementary, etc. And they'll have more extra time to do stuff they want to. Average homework: This is the best. The teacher will be able to finish what she has to teach by the limited time they have, and, it's fair to the student. Though the student might not really have much time to play, but as long as they schedule their time, they'll find time to do what they want. Much homework: This is quite okay, if the teacher himself/herself will want to mark a lot a one time. This causes quite a lot of unhappiness because - one) The student will grumble, 2) Teacher has to mark what they have given, 40x more if a class has 40 students, 3)Scoldings will hence arise when the student didn't do their homework - either forgotten, don't want to do or no time to do. Very much homework: I strongly discourage this. Other than the reasons stated in the 'Much homework' section, the student will pretty much die of stress, be too scared to go to school since the teacher is so fierce, the students will complain to the parents which'll complain to the school which the principal complains to the teacher and the teacher gets feddup and he/she resigns. I don't hate homework. In fact, I think that it's good, it's just the auntity quantity and the quality. So in conclusion, which is the best amount of work that should be given? ... Average Homework.
Note: For teachers who are reading this, I'm not disagreeing in the amount of homework you give. This is just the amount of homework I think that should be given. I didn't say that you must give that amount. If it has done any harm or what, go on and sue me. Don't give your students even more homework if you disagree in this, especially if you have been already giving a lot, cos it really none of their businness and no one likes to be given torture for nothing. *The name of the teacher has been changed.
